Functional Role:
In the exhaust gas recirculation system: The check valve can regulate the amount of exhaust gas participating in combustion, reducing emissions of pollutants such as nitrogen oxides, while ensuring that the combustion process in the engine is more scientific and efficient, allowing the engine to maintain sufficient power output.
In the fuel system: When the fuel pump stops working, the check valve prevents fuel in the pipeline from flowing back to the fuel tank, enabling the vehicle to quickly establish initial oil pressure upon the next start, ensuring smooth ignition.
In the crankcase forced ventilation system: The check valve (PCV valve) directs the gases extracted from the crankcase into the engine intake manifold. These gases are then drawn into the cylinders for secondary combustion, improving the engine's fuel efficiency. Additionally, it reduces internal engine pressure, minimizes wear, and extends the engine's service life.
