The oxygen sensor can convert the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas into an electrical signal and transmit it to the engine control unit (ECU), providing a key basis for the closed-loop control of the fuel injection system.

Regular Maintenance and Specialized Inspections

• Regular Carbon Deposit Cleaning: Every 20,000 to 30,000 kilometers of vehicle operation, the intake system and combustion chamber of the engine can be cleaned for carbon deposits. At the same time, it is recommended to use正规 (legitimate) fuel system cleaning agents to reduce the adhesion of carbon deposits in exhaust gases to sensors.
• Regular Sensor Status Detection: During each routine vehicle maintenance (every 5,000 to 10,000 kilometers), the data stream of the oxygen sensor can be read through an OBD diagnostic tool to check whether the jump frequency and range of the signal voltage are normal. If signal response delay or abnormal voltage is detected, timely handling is required.
• Periodic Replacement of Relevant Components: According to the vehicle manual requirements, the general service life of the oxygen sensor is 80,000 to 100,000 kilometers, and some models can reach 150,000 kilometers. It is recommended to replace it in advance when approaching the service life to avoid sudden failures. At the same time, regularly replace coolant, air filters, etc., to maintain stable engine operating conditions and indirectly protect the oxygen sensor.
