The car radiator overflow tube, also known as an overflow pipe or pressure relief tube, is a small-diameter hose connected to the expansion tank (secondary tank) of the cooling system. Its other end is typically open and extends downward to below the vehicle's chassis.
As the 'safety exhaust channel' of the cooling system, its core function is to safely guide excess coolant and steam out when the system pressure is too high, preventing more severe damage.

① Pressure Relief and Exhaust: When the pressure of the cooling system exceeds the set value of the pressure valve on the expansion tank cap, high-temperature coolant and steam are discharged through this tube, preventing excessive system pressure from damaging other components (such as radiator hoses and gaskets).
