Fitted over the outer surface of the shock absorber piston rod, one end connects to the lower shock absorber housing while the other secures to the piston rod's upper end or upper mount. Their primary function is to isolate external contaminants, safeguard the shock absorber's internal precision components, and extend the unit's operational lifespan.
