The car xenon lamp ballast is a key component of the HID lighting system, also known as the HID electronic ballast.

Main functions:

• Boost voltage to activate bulb: It can instantly increase the vehicle's 12V voltage to around 23,000V, thereby activating the xenon bulb to produce strong light and achieve high brightness illumination.
• Stabilize operating voltage: During the operation of the xenon lamp, the stabilizer can keep the voltage within an appropriate range, typically working normally and stably under standard DC voltage of 9 to 17V, ensuring the bulb can emit light continuously and stably.
• Protection function: It has multiple protection functions such as overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, no-load protection, short-circuit protection, and reverse connection protection, which can prevent damage to the xenon lamp and the vehicle's electrical system due to abnormal voltage or circuit faults.

Working principle: After the power is connected, the stabilizer uses its internal transformer to boost the low-voltage car power to a high-voltage pulse of over 20,000 volts. This high-voltage pulse activates the xenon gas in the xenon bulb, causing it to generate an electric arc discharge between the two electrodes, thus emitting strong light.

Performance features:

• Fast start-up performance: When the power input is 12.8V, the current is no less than 8.5A, enabling the connected xenon lamp to reach 20% of standard brightness within 1 second, and 80% within 4 seconds.
• Constant power performance: When the input voltage is between 7-18.5V, the ballast maintains a constant output power of around 35W, with a deviation of no more than ±3W, to protect the HID bulb from damage.
• Low interference: The radio interference relative value does not exceed -70dB, the absolute value is less than 20 microwatts, and the reverse current interference ripple measured at the connection point does not exceed 300mV, avoiding interference with various electrical appliances in the car.
